Pretty Drapes

I've got drapes on my mind these days. I decided to finally undertake dying my old living room drapes. I have two more to go. I'm not exactly sure how things are going. I've never dyed anything in my life... besides my hair and that usually goes badly, too. Aha moment! I need to stay away from dye.

So, while my splotchy, badly-dyed drapes are drying, I will fantasize about lovely drapes like these...

After I uploaded these I realized that they were all blue or striped. Or my personal favorite, blue striped. I burn for blue stripes. I really really really wanna zig-a-zig-ha. I don't know what that means.

ANYWAY, those drapes all have something else in common. They are way out of my budget. What a shame.

Have you bought any drapes lately? Have you dyed any drapes lately? Badly? So that they are streaky and kind of awful, but you are hoping that when they are hung nobody will notice? Wow, small world! Me, too!

Could you dye them again, for a even color?

you could buy this duvet cover and sew it into curtain panels...

It would be way cheaper than having panels made.

The fabric that I used for my roman shades is a aqua cabana stripe. It was $20/yard.
