Fold-out tables for cramped spaces
I saw these tables in This Old House Magazine and fell in love. So, I put the magazine aside to make sure I shared them with you. And I finally remembered to do it, aren't you impressed?
This is a wall cabinet that folds out into a little desk/homework/computer table.

That is fantastic. And it has a corkboard inside the cabinet, even! You can never have too much corkboard when you have children. I keep trying to figure out where I can put one of these, because I would chew my foot off to have a little desk/homework/computer area in my kitchen. Alas, there is no room.
Buy it here. That was just a suggestion. Not a demand or anything. Just so you know.
And I am so smitten with this little sofa table.
That folds out into seating for six.
Smack my face and call me Sally, I love that so much. I'm sure the fact that it is aqua has nothing to do with my infatuation. But, really... Isn't that excellent? I need one of these as well.
How about you? They come in 11 colors. But, you won't find it in a color that is better than aqua, so why waste your time? Check them out here.
What do you think about those tables? Do you have any furniture that moonlights as another piece of furniture? Do you like tables that fold out? Do you like aqua? Do you like when bloggers post a bunch of questions at the end of their posts?
Do tell.

While I like the idea of those tables, there is approximately a 0% chance they would end up nicely folded and back where they belong. Instead, they would be unfolded and covered with mail/books/groceries etc.
I have a wooden table like the aqua one you posted. And get this..when it is closed up, there is a little door on the end to a space inside the table holding 4 folding chairs!
You just slide the chairs out and then pull the table leaves up and you have an amazing extra table. I adore the set.
And the best part - I got it at a special furniture sale that they used to hold near my home for $100 when it should have sold for around $800. I was giddy with excitement.
I've had many people ask to buy it from me but I'm holding onto it with my tight little hands. I've lent it out, but I won't sell or give it away.
I have used it for extra dining space when entertaining a large group, and rolled it (the whole thing has wheels on it) outside once for my son's party where the kids were all frosting their own cookies and I didn't want the mess in my house. You will love one! They come in so handy so many times.
SIx can sit at that table? Six munckins maybe.
Saw this and thought of you ... :)

(LOVE that table!)
i WANT that table!! Perfect for when you have lots of guests and dont want an ugly card table!
I bought this cute little buffet at a garage sale where the back flips up to be a table. I absolutely love it even though I have yet to use it as at table. But if I should ever have a table emergency, I'm covered!
